General Information
If you’d like to know more about our archival work and the significance of our collections, and more about the Center in general, this page is for you!
Digital Collections
Here you can find our digitized archival collections, including Margaret Walker’s journals, personal papers, manuscript materials, and also the Levi J. Rowan Photograph Collection.
Oral History Projects
Explore our extensive collection of oral history projects, managed by our oral historian Alissa Rae Funderburk. You can also hear them and view other interesting videos on our YouTube.
Book Collections
The Center is home to several book collections. Since we have temporarily relocated out of Ayer Hall, our ability to fulfill requests to view books might be limited. However, we encourage you to still take a look at what exists in our collections. You can add your discoveries to your reading list!
Research Requests
So, how can you contact us to get permissions for materials or conduct research? We have a form that contains some useful info. Again, since we have temporarily relocated out of Ayer Hall, aspects like our Reading Room are unavailable at the moment.
Nonetheless, the form contains our policies on research and usage and can be a good starting point for letting us know your needs. If you have questions and specific requests, you can also always email us at mwa@jsums.edu.
